How it works and what makes it different? Why is it twice as warm as the market leader?

WHO IS THIS AIMED AT?

The MOVE is aimed at both slower moving sports (like the ultimate), however it can also be used for more active sports such as running, cycling, hockey, rugby, football.

INSTANT HEAT

Again the MOVE is instantly warm as soon as you put it on however as this product has a focus on both temperature regulation and wicking alongside warmth its construction is different to the ultimate. The garment is made of:

Polyester             50%

Polypropylene   45%

Polyurethane    5%

TEMPERATURE REGULATION

Often you start off cold however as you do activity you heat up and in a traditional baselayer you overheat with the MOVE as your body temperature heats up the mix of fabrics controls your temperature so you do not overheat. This is mainly down to the high percentage of polypropylene that is used in the construction of the garment.

MOISTURE WICKING AND COLD SWEAT

One of the biggest problems that athletes suffer from is moisture between the skin and garment, this is fine when one is working out but when you stop activity and are in the cold this moisture (sweat) becomes very unpleasant and cold – the dreaded ‘cold sweat’ is a major issue for outdoor activity. Due to the unique mix of polyurethane and polypropylene on the underside of the MOVE moisture is removed from the skin and quickly sent to the outside of the garment using a kind of capillary action – its like osmosis for clothing!

 

OUTER SHELL

The outer shell of the garment is made with hollow polyester so as soon as the moisture is drawn from your skin it quickly evaporates from the shell rather than soaking into the outside of the garment

In summary the MOVE baselayer is almost twice as warm as the market leader as proven by BOKEN Institute, it has a CLo rating of 0.25 (this is the heat retention ratio) as opposed to the leading brand which is 0.14. The MOVE comes into its own as soon as your body temperature heats up as it keeps you cool and removes sweat from against your skin using the unique mix of fibres.
